Just a quick tip. To start video recording on the X-T1 you have to press and hold the video recording button (marked in red to the right of the shutter release) for 1 second and the same agin to stop recording. This was introduced in an early firmware update to stop accidental recording.
Although here at Photography Masterclasses we teach you how to use your digital SLR, nearly everyone takes photos with their camera phone as well. The main reason being is that your camera phone is always with you. Whereas many of us leave your bulky SLR's at home unless we are on holidays or outings. Little known fact is that the most popular camera on the photography sharing site 'flickr' is in fact the iPhone!!
So here's a little tip that many people are unaware of, and that is that you can use your Apple headphones as a remote to fire the shutter o your iPhone! If you plug your headphones in as normal and activate the camera, when you press the button on the cord your phone will fire the shutter and take a picture. If you are into Street Photography then this is a superb discreet method to take candid photos.
